About
About Port Quin
Port Quin is a tiny inlet with a handful of cottages, once a busy pilchard fishing village. Legend says the village was abandoned after its fishermen were lost at sea in a storm, though the real story is probably the decline of fishing and mining.
On the headland stands Doyden Castle, a small Victorian folly, and the coast path to Port Isaac is one of the finest walks in north Cornwall.
