About
About Truro Cathedral
Truro Cathedral was built between 1880 and 1910, designed by the architect John Loughborough Pearson in the Gothic Revival style. It was the first Anglican cathedral built on a new site in England since Salisbury in the 13th century, and it incorporates part of the old parish church of St Mary.
Inside, look for the fine Victorian stained glass, the soaring vaulted ceilings and the Father Willis organ. The cathedral hosts services, concerts and, at Christmas, carol services and a Christmas market.
