About
About Treryn Dinas and Logan Rock
Treryn Dinas is an Iron Age cliff castle on a granite headland between Porthcurno and Penberth, cared for by the National Trust. Among its rocks sits the Logan Rock, a huge boulder that once rocked at the touch of a hand.
In 1824 a naval officer and his crew pushed the rock off its perch for a bet. Local outrage forced him to put it back at his own expense, though it has never rocked quite so easily since.
