About
About St Michael’s Mount
St Michael’s Mount has been home to the St Aubyn family since the 17th century and is cared for in partnership with the National Trust. A small community still lives on the island, around the harbour at the foot of the castle.
At low tide you can walk across the ancient granite causeway from Marazion; when the tide is in, small boats ferry visitors across. On the island you can climb to the castle, explore its historic rooms and chapel, and visit the terraced gardens, where exotic plants thrive on the warm granite rock.
