About
About PK Porthcurno
From 1870, undersea telegraph cables came ashore at Porthcurno, linking Britain with the rest of the world. At its height it was the largest submarine cable station in the world, and a training college for telegraph engineers was based here.
The museum tells this story through hands-on exhibits, working equipment and the secret wartime tunnels built to protect the station during the Second World War.
