About
About Lizard Lighthouse
Lizard Point is the most southerly point of mainland Britain, and its lighthouse, first lit in 1752, has warned ships away from these dangerous waters for centuries. The two white towers are a landmark along this rugged coast.
The heritage centre tells the story of the lighthouse and life on the Lizard, and there are tours of the tower in season. The cliffs nearby are great for spotting seabirds, seals and, sometimes, choughs.
