Cornish Seal Sanctuary in Cornwall places to Visit.
Experience our resident Southern Sea Lions up close in our all new VIP feeding experience at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary.
Guests will feel the rumble of Diego’s roar, the sight of two of the largest animals at the Sanctuary up close and personal, and even the smell of the sea lions breath as they devour their lunch!
Your experience begins with a behind the scenes tour of our Seal Hospital, where a member of the animal care team will run through our rescue & rehabilitation work, fish preparation, fish species and in particular the feeding and husbandry training of our Southern Sea Lions.
After collecting the Sea Lions food, it’s time to head down to meet our resident Sea Lions Noito and Diego for feeding time!
Meet Ray, Sheba, Yulelogs, Marlin and many more of our Grey Seal residents and hear their rescue stories. Learn all about their characters and why they now have a permanent home here at the Sanctuary. Discover how Grey Seals survive in the wild and how the team at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary rescue over 70 injured or abandoned Grey Seals every year from around the Cornish Coast.
Meet our wonderful colony of Humboldt penguins during your visit to the Sanctuary.
We have a recent addition to our colony, Squidge, who is a beautiful boy with so much character!
Each penguin has a different coloured tag to be able to tell them apart. Male penguins have a coloured band on their right wing and females on their left wing.
The experience takes approximately 30 minutes and is led by an experienced member of the Animal Care Team. This has to be on your list of Cornwall places to visit.
