About Holywell Bay
Holywell Bay is a short drive west of Newquay. Huge dunes lead down to a wide sandy beach, and the distinctive Gull Rocks sit just out to sea. The beach takes its name from a holy well in a cave at its northern end, reached at low tide.
The bay has been used as a filming location for TV and film, including Poldark, and much of the surrounding coast is cared for by the National Trust.
