About Godolphin
Godolphin was home to the Godolphin family, who grew rich from tin mining and rose to power at court. The house dates mainly from the 1400s to 1600s, and its gardens keep their medieval and Tudor layout, making them among the oldest in Britain.
The estate is cared for by the National Trust, with walks up Godolphin Hill for views across west Cornwall and old mine workings in the woods.
