About

About Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden

Dame Barbara Hepworth lived and worked at Trewyn Studio in St Ives from 1949 until her death in 1975. Following her wishes, the studio and garden were opened to the public, and they are now cared for by Tate.

Her bronze and stone sculptures stand among the plants of the walled garden just as she arranged them, and her workshops have been left much as they were, with tools and unfinished pieces. It is a peaceful, inspiring place and a must for anyone interested in art.
