About
About Glendurgan Garden
Glendurgan was created in the 1820s by Alfred and Sarah Fox as a family retreat. The garden fills a valley running down to the little riverside hamlet of Durgan, and is cared for today by the National Trust.
Its most famous feature is the cherry laurel maze, planted in 1833, which children and adults still love to get lost in. Elsewhere you’ll find exotic trees and plants from around the world, a swing called the Giant’s Stride and paths down to the beach at Durgan.
