About
About Lizard Point
Lizard Point is the southernmost point of mainland Britain, a rugged headland of dark serpentine rock where the Channel meets the Atlantic. The old lifeboat station sits in Polpeor Cove below the cliffs.
The National Trust runs a wildlife watchpoint here, and the cliffs are one of the best places in Cornwall to see choughs, grey seals and, in summer, basking sharks.
