About
About Poldhu Cove
Poldhu is a sandy cove between Mullion and Gunwalloe, sheltered by cliffs and with a stream running across the sand. It is a favourite with families thanks to its gentle slope, café and lifeguard cover in season.
On the clifftop above, Guglielmo Marconi’s wireless station sent the first transatlantic radio signal to Newfoundland in 1901. A small heritage centre tells the story.
