About
About Portreath Beach
Portreath grew up as a port shipping copper ore from the mines around Redruth and Camborne to South Wales. Its harbour walls and old tramroad are reminders of that past, and the village is now the start of the Mineral Tramways Coast to Coast trail.
The sandy beach sits next to the harbour and is popular with families and surfers.
