Fistral beach is simply one of the most consistent and best surfing beaches in Europe and the UK. It is situated at the half a mile west of Newquay.
The popular beach is bounded by two promontories, Pentire point east to the south and Towan head to the north, surrounded by some prime, expensive looking real estate.
As one of the world’s top surfing destinations, backed by sand dunes and high cliffs, Fistral is the playground for hundreds of enthusiasts who love surfing.
All the big UK surf competitions take place here, including the UK pro surf tour, the quicksilver skins and Boardmasters festival is also held at Fistral beach.

It is a picture perfect beach with a long sandy shore, sunshine and breathtaking sand dunes. On this beach you will find the self-proclaimed international surf centre” housing all the essential beach side facilities including the terraced bars, restaurants and a few ice cream and surf brand shops.
Fistral beach is also taken care of by the RNLI lifeguard service that cover daily from Easter bank holiday to end of October.
The northern end of Fistral is awash with facilities including wet suit and surfboard hire, toilets, the surf center, nearby golf course and a large car parking area. It is also dog friendly all year round.
