One of the most scenic ways to visit St Ives is in fact by train.

You can jump on a train from Lelant and take in the stunning views as you pass some of the most spectacular scenery in Cornwall.

The route allows you to watch the 3 miles of sandy beaches stretching from Godrevy to Hayle passing Carbis Bay half way through the short 10 minute journey finishing right next to Porthminster Beach.


With boat trips and water sports a plenty there are many of ways to immerse yourself into St Ives.

Once you have soaked up enough of the blues and yellows then there is a variety of quient cornish cafes to get your pasty or ice cream fix.

Although there are a few chain brands dotted around the town many of the shops are local family run businesses that have been here for years.

The town really has a local feel where you can browse around products only found in St Ives.
